When are all these people who are moaning about the renovation of the Market Place going to realise that it is done and will not go back to the way it was?

I agree with Peter Johnston that central Bolton has many fine buildings worthy of preservation (November 3). However, I’m also fairly sure that he would agree with me that Bolton Council does not have a very good track record in preserving our buildings.

I HAVE the same problem as the author of the letter, “I want my ears syringed at a GP’s surgery” (November 17). I am also having problems obtaining an appointment to have my ears syringed.

GILLIAN Wilkinson, in her letter, “It’s like using a sledgehammer to crack a walnut” (November 10), says she despairs of the number of occasions when it is suggested that responsibility for the consequences of one’s actions should be transferred to someone else.
