WANDERERS are hoping to follow-up the capture of Watford defender Danny Shittu with another new signing before kicking-off the new season.
Gary Megson landed the 27-year-old centre-half for £2million but has hinted that his summer spending has not yet finished with the big kick-off against Stoke City just over a week away.
Shittu, a Nigeria international, was on the verge of joining Rangers last month until talks broke down over personal terms. He signed a three-year deal with Bolton in a move that would seem to further marginalise Ivory Coast international Abdoulaye Meite in Megson’s plans.
The Wanderers boss is confident he will add to his ranks once again in the next few days after a week of tough discussions with Shittu’s representatives.
