Ricky Powter secured a one hole victory over fellow first team player Matt Taylor in the Old Links Club Championship final.
In the semi-final Ricky produced a fine 18th hole victory over reigning champion Martyn Price, coming back from one down with two to play. Taylor beat Tony Johnson.
With never more than one hole between the finalists, Ricky took the lead on the par three 17th with a good putt after Taylorfailed to get up and down from the left of the green.
Needing a win on the par five 18th to take the match to extra holes, Taylor’s eight foot birdy putt lipped out, leaving Powter a tricky five foot par putt to secure a one hole victory.
The senior event was won by John Killoran who beat Alan Schofield in the final.
