LEIGH Centurions hope to make a statement of intent when they make the short trip to Salford on Friday night.
Still furious that their Super League licence application was turned down in favour of Celtic Crusaders, Leigh want their actions to do the talking over the closing weeks of the National League One campaign, starting at The Willows.
Leigh say they are determined to try and end the season with a bang by making it through to the Grand Final, and their cause will be greatly helped if they could overturn the formbook and topple the league leaders.
Coach Neil Kelly hopes to be able to recall three key players who missed last Sunday's lucky victory over Batley.
Toa Kohe-Love (virus), Lee Marsh (hamstring) and Chris Hill (shoulder) will all be back in contention for a game Leigh need to win if they are to have any realistic chance of a top three finish.
Meanwhile, the Centurions have told two players they will not be required for next season.
Full-back or winger Chris Giles has been allowed to link up with former boss Darren Shaw at Rochdale, while back rower Mike Wainwright has linked up with Swinton. Both are on initial loan deals.
