Colls the under-dogs against big spenders

Atherton Collieries will be underdogs on their own ground when they take on big-spending, title-chasing New Mills at Alder House on Saturday, kick-off 3pm.
A single point from 12 games tells its own story for Colls but Dave Conlon’s players have shown a lot of spirit in their last three outings and, with skipper James Parkinson back in scoring action in the 3-1 defeat at Squires Gate in midweek, are expected to be unchanged.
New Mills are still smarting after being knocked out of the FA Vase by their local rivals, Glossop, last weekend.
But Colls felt they were themselves the victims of an unjust refereeing decision on Tuesday night and will be hoping to get a better rub of the green.
