Three men stole a small amount of cash during an armed robbery in Bolton.
Three men armed with knives entered the Costcutter store on Church Street, Little Lever, and threatened staff, shortly after 6.50pm on Wednesday August 6 2008, The men escaped down Back Church Street towards Dearden Street.
The first offender is described as white, 5ft 10in tall and of a broad build. The second offender is described as white and 5ft 8in tall.
The third is described as white, between 5ft 10in and 6ft tall. Both are slimmer than the first offender and all were wearing balaclavas and dark clothing.
No one was injured in the attack. A knife was recovered close to the scene.
Detective Constable Richard Barrett of Bolton CID said: "These men were armed with dangerous weapons and have put the staff in the store through a frightening ordeal.
"Offences like this are completely unacceptable and I want to reassure the public that we are following a number of leads to catch whoever is responsible.
"I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area the time of the robbery and who may have seen three men fleeing from the scene, or who knows who is responsible, to contact police."
