Bolton's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week.

Each evening from 8pm to 6am up to Saturday, April 20, there will be moderate delays on the M61 in both directions between junction four and seven.

This is due to a lane closure for horticultural works including cutting and planting.

Each evening from midnight to 11.59am, up to Saturday, April 20, there will be slight delays of under 10 minutes on the M61 southbound between junction five and six.

This is due to a hard shoulder closure for drainage works.
