Greater Manchester Police is asking for help to trace a Horwich man’s next of kin after he died at home.
In UK law, there is no definition of next of kin, but it is understood to be the closest relative, whether a partner, parent, child or sibling.
According to GMP, Kevin Wood died at his home on Chorley New Road, Horwich, on Friday, February 2.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, the force said in a post shared on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter).
Anyone with information about Kevin’s next of kin has been asked to contact the Police Coroner’s Office on 0161 856 4687.

No further details of the circumstances surrounding Mr Wood’s death were made public by Greater Manchester Police.
